Ensembles:

 The Mt. Blue Voices is a mixed acappella vocal ensemble under the direction of  Mr. Dennis Hayes.  This auditioned ensemble has performed 3 times at Disney World in the course of its 10-year history.  This group performs a variety of choral styles from pop, vocal jazz, blues.   For information on auditioning or to have Mt. Blue Voices perform for service clubs, organizations or other public venues contact Mr. Dennis Hayes at dphayes@gwi.net or 778-2352.

Mt. Blue High School Chorus is under the direction of Mrs. Carol Shumway. Numbering 140 strong, this SATB choral ensemble meets 1^st period every academic   “blue day” for 40 minutes and presents 3 concerts a year.  Members of the chorus also participate in KVMEA music festival, All-State music festival and can choose to audition for participation in The Syncopations or the Mt. Blue Voices.

The Syncopations is a women’s vocal ensemble directed by Mrs. Carol Shumway.  This auditioned ensemble was selected to perform in Carnegie Hall, NYC with the National Women’s Honor Choir in March 2004.  The Syncopations perform and wide variety of accompanied and unaccompanied choral music ranging from pop, jazz, folk, multi-cultural and classical.  For information on auditioning or to have The Syncopations perform for service clubs, organizations or other public venues contact Carol Shumway at Mt.
